Mediterranean Shipping Company USA – North Atlantic Transit Time Improvement August 2010

26 August 2010, 11:53 / SeaNews / Rating: 1738

Dear Customers and Partners,

In our response to the growing market conditions and our wish to always provide our customers with the best product in the market MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company is pleased to announce with immediate effect an improved service from North Europe to the United States (North Atlantic Service).

As from the MSC Eleni 566a (eta Bremerhaven 28/08/2010) we will change the complete westbound rotation with New York (Maher Terminal) being the first port of entry in the USA.

In addition to the change of port call, we have decided to speed up the west bound leg offering the fastest transit time from North-West Continent to New York.

The first vessel will perform the following rotation: North European Ports – New York – Boston – Philadelphia – Baltimore – Norfolk

The new transit time to New York will be:

  • Bremerhaven 13 days
  • Felixstowe 11 days
  • Antwerpen 9 days
  • Le Havre 7 days

We hope that such move will be duly appreciated and supported by our clients.

Further information about these increases can be obtained from Mediterranean Shipping Company's local Agency Offices.
