EUROPE/MEDITERRANEAN TRADE AGREEMENT (EMTA)

EMTA Lines are pleased to advise their customers that following discussions with their insurance underwriters, the additional premia for vessels serving Israeli Ports have again been reduced.
Therefore, as indicated previously, it is possible to reflect this further reduction in the extra risk insurance surcharge applicable for this region.
Consequently, with effect from Monday 24th December 2001 (all B/Ls dated on or after this date) EMTA Lines will apply a reduced extra risk insurance surcharge as follows:
USD 60 per TEU (currently USD 100 per TEU) applicable to all Northbound and Southbound cargo.
These levels will be regularly reviewed and are dependent on general conditions applying in the region as well as advice received from insurance underwriters.
