Last week Ust-Luga Cup regatta marking the tenth anniversary of Commercial Sea Port of Ust-Luga closed in St. Petersburg in a prize awarding ceremony. The team of Rostermialugol, the first terminal to start operations at Ust-Luga, were also the first in the yachting race on board the yacht “Seventh Wave”. SMM on “Anna” held the second place, and Ust-Luga Company on “Gloria” took the third prize.
Russian Railways team on board “Madonna” came the fourth, Rosmorport on “Evita” the fifth, the mass media team on “Colinda” were the sixth and the joint team of PUL trans and Commercial Sea Port of Ust-Luga on “Victory” the seventh.
Valery Izrailit, Chairman of the Ust-Luga Company Board, said the regatta was a success and confirmed the plans to make the race in the Baltic an annual event. Maxim Shirokov, MD of Ust-Luga Company, told SeaNews that the next regatta will be international and will styled as Ust-Luga Baltic Cup: One sea, One trade, One destiny – regatta of the ports of the Baltic Sea.
