Egor Govorukhin Appointed Global Ports Chief Commercial Officer
Egor Govorukhin has been appointed Chief Commercial Officer of Global Ports Investments. He previously served as Deputy CCO and replaces Roy Cummins who has accepted a role outside the company and will leave Global Ports at the end of April.
Alexander Nazarchuk, Chief Executive Officer of Global Ports, reminded that E.Govorukhin has over 20 years of industry experience and since joining the Global Ports with the acquisition of NCC Group, he has played a key role in integrating commercial function of the enlarged Group and helped to drive key commercial programmes. A.Nazarchuk also told that R.Cummins has been recruited to head one of the busiest and fastest growing ports in Australia. “Over the five years since he joined us, Global Ports has been transformed into the leading port operator on the market, with a listing on the London Stock Exchange and an international shareholder base”, he added.
E.Govorukhin graduated from Moscow Institute of Economics and Statistics where he majored in economics and in 2006 successfully completed the APM Terminals MAGNUM program, a corporate-led program in partnership with ESADE Business School. He served as Deputy CCO of Global Ports since the beginning of 2014. Prior to that, he worked as Vice President for Sales & Marketing at NCC Group for more than 6 years and Area Terminal Operations Manager, Eastern Europe at Maersk Line from 2003 to 2007. He held a number of senior managing positions in various logistics and freight forwarding companies from 1992 to 2003, including Sovmortrans International Forwarders and Sea-Land Service International, Ltd.
