Konstantin Sokolov appointed President of FESCO

Capt. Konstantin Sokolov is appointed President of FESCO Transportation Group after Ruslan Alikhanov resigned from this position.

K. Sokolov has extensive top management experience in container business. Having graduated from Leningrad Makarov academy he started his shipping career at sea with 10 plus years experience as a captain. Within 5 years Konstantin Sokolov headed Ust Luga Commercial Sea port. Under his management cargo turnover of the terminals was 90 times up from 7.5 thousand tons in 2008 to nearly 700 thousand tons in September 2013.

Since September 2013 K.Sokolov - Vice-president of FESCO, Ports Division, and General Director of Commercial Port of Vladivostok. According to SeaNews, on the Russian container terminal operators market FESCO share is 22%

Ruslan Alikhanov ( ex Mc Kinsey) resigned from the position of the President of FESCO on the 5th of September in order to start his own projects. He will proceed as member of the Board of Directors of FESCO.

«During his year and a half tenure at FESCO Ruslan accomplished the most important goal set by the shareholders. Under his leadership the new long-term strategy of the company until 2020 has been developed. According to the strategy, FESCO should strengthen its position as the largest transportation group in Russia, connecting the Russia’s Far East, Asia and Europe by shipping lines and Trans-Siberian container trains», says Alexander Vinokurov, President of the Summa Group (shareholder of FESCO).
