Chairman of the Company Ust-Luga's Board of directors Valery Israilit does not agree to the estimate of the port of Ust-Luga given by Semen Vineshtok, the head of Transneft, last week.
Speaking about an opportunity to direct the line of the Baltic pipeline system-2 from Primorsk to Ust-Luga, the head of Transneft pointed out some difficulties, including silting of the access dust of Ust-Luga, and he said that it would cost too much to look after the channel.
During the press-conference devoted to the annual session of the shareholders of Ust-Luga, the chairman of the Board of directors announced that he seconds the opinion of governor of the Leningrad region Valery Serdjukov concerning the Baltic Pipeline System-2 and Ust-Luga.

The RF Ministry of Industry and Energy has introduced the project of the second stage of the Baltic pipeline system (BPS-2) to the State Government, reports Kommersant.
According to the representatives of the Ministry, the project realization will provide the growth of Russian export and help to reduced transit risk.
It should be pointed out, that the project of the building the pipeline passing over Belarus appeared in the beginning of this year when Russia put export duty ($ 180 per one ton) on oil supplying to Belarus and Belarus in its turn put a tax for Russian oil transit ($45 per one ton).

Transneft, the Russian state oil pipeline company, is considering a revolutionary plan to fix pipeline tariffs in such a way as to free Russian oil exporters to choose the direction of their shipments, towards Europe or Asia, depending on which regional markets offer the best prices.
The move, which the Kremlin should accept next month, comes as President Vladimir Putin signed in Athens yesterday his personal commitment to building a new pipeline for Russian crude exports southwards through the Balkans to a new tanker terminal at Alexandropoulos, on the Aegean.
Transneft vice president Sergei Grigoriev told Fairplay his company is proposing a “unified tariff for all destinations.
