The Board of FESCO has decided to issue an additional 410.898 mn shares with a nominal value of 1 ruble per share. Currently the authorized capital stock of the company is 1.644 mn rubles split into common shares with a nominal value of 1 ruble per share. Part of the issue is aimed for paying for the 50% FESCO acquires in Transgarant Ltd., told Prime TASS Evgeny Ambrosov, FESCO CEO. In September FESCO acquired 50% in Transgarant.

The first oil shipment under the Sakhalin-1 project has been loaded at the port of De-Castri on board PRISCO's m/t "Viktor Titov". According to Yury Sinev, Director of PRISCO (Sakhalin), the tanker took on board 100 thousand tons of crude and left De-Castri according to the schedule at 16.15 local time on October 16. "Viktor Titov" is one of the 3 ice-strengthened 1A-class tankers built by PRISCO in accordance with the contract. After unloading at Kawasaki the tanker will return to De-Castri for a new load of crude.

During the 9 months of 2006 Russian Railways JSC carried 971.5 mn tons of cargo, which is a 3.2% plus year-on-year. This volume includes 209.587 mn tons of coal (+4%), 80.989 mn tons of ferrous and manganese ore (+8.8%), 59.307 mn tons of ferrous metals (+10.8%), 19.478 mn tons of ferrous metal scrap (+2.1%), 169 mn tons of oil and products (+4.4%), 50.043 mn tons of timber and logs (+2.5%) and 28.438 mn tons of cement (+9.5%). The railway throughput amounted in January-September to 1 434.7 mn tons per km, which is 4.8% above last year's result.
