In April 2005 Russian Railways JSC and Siemens are to sign a construct to produce high-speed trains, reports the press service of RR. On March 10, 2005 Gennady Fadeev, President of Russian Railways JSC and Hans Shabert, President of Siemens Transport Systems reached an agreement concerning the high-speed trains production. RR is to purchase 60 trains buy the agreed price.

The companies discussed the production of high speed trains to organize traffic between St.Petersburg and Moscow. According to G.Fadeev, it will take 2 hours and a half to get to the place of destination by the new train.

On December 29 the president of LUKoil JSC Vagit Alekperov and the president of Russian Railways JSC Gennady Fadeev signed two documents concerning the transportation of oil to China and the rail traffic organization to LUKoil's terminal in Vysotsk. According to the agreement, LUKoil is to deliver 3 mn tons of oil to China in 2005.

June 16, 2004, a ceremony to officially open stage 1 of LUKoil's oil and product terminal (called LUKoil-2) was held in the port of Vysotsk, Leningrad region. The ceremony was attended by RF Premier Mikhail Fradkov, Chairman of the Federation Council Sergey Mironov, President's Plenipotentiary in the North-West Ilia Klebanov, Governor of Leningrad Oblast Balery Serdyukov, President of Russian Railways JSV Gennady Fadeev, etc. The terminal actually started operating on May 18, when LUKoil's tanker "Kaliningrad" took on board a test load of 18.1 thousand tons for Rotterdam. The terminal capacity at stage1 is 4.7 mln.
