The Tuapse Commercial Sea Port began to build a new grain terminal, reports Vedomosti quoting Irina Davidyan, the head of handling and freight department of Independent Transport Company. According to her, it is scheduled to have put the first stage of the terminal into operation by the beginning of season 2008.

In January-March of the current year the grain handling via the RF South Ports increased by 51.8% and totaled 2521.2 thousand tons. In the first quarter 2007 almost all ports of the Azov and Black Sea region showed positive dynamics. The exceptions are the port of Tuapse (-14.1%), Temruk and Kavkaz (-96%).

Tuapse Export Terminal, LTD has begun to build the engineering infrastructure of the complex to handle liquid hydrocarbon gas, reports Interfax-Yug. According to Vladimir Evseev, the company's director, they have started to dismantle the old equipment of the car manufacturing plant where it is planned to build a warehousing base for liquid hydrocarbon gas.

Tuapse Commercial Seaport JSC increased the total volume of investments into basic assets development by 17% - up to 256 mn rubles, reported IA Regnum quoting the company's press-service. In particular 204 mn rubles were invested in the acquisition of 3 portal cranes, 2 standers, and other loading equipment. Besides 91 mn rubles were directed at the realization of buildings and facilities reconstruction program including different production objects. 26.8 mn rubles were aimed at the modernization of the port fleet, and 31.9 mn rubles for portal cranes modernization.
