The group Oslo Marine is to close the deal on purchasing of Zapadnaya Company, LTD which owned the area on the territory of the shipyard Severnaya Verf. The press-service of Oslo Marine did not disprove this fact but at the same time the service did not comment while some juristical problems have not been solved yet. "In two weeks Oslo Marine will officially say about this purchasing", - promised Marina Isaeva, the PR-manager of the company. By experts' estimate, the cost of the deal might total $40 mn. General director of Zapadnaya Company Sergey Fedotov said that he knows nothing about Oslo Marine's interest in the facilities of Zapadnaya Company.

During the session of the Russian-Iranian work group devoted to the development of the transport corridor North-South Alexandr Davydenko, the head of the Federal Sea and River Transport Agency, announced that the RF Ministry of Transport intends to have invested about 40 bn rubles in the building of the port Olya by the year of 2010. It is stressed that 700 mn rubles were laid in the federal budget of the current year to build the port.

During the first stage of the reconstructing the transport group FESCO and First Quantum increased the efficiency of the work of the Ilichevsky container terminal more than by 70%, reports the press-service of FESCO Group. The terminal development project is being realized by the National Container Company, controlling the terminal complexes of the alliance formed by FESCO and First Quantum.

On march 14 Andrey Karpov, chairman of the St.Petersburg committee for transport and transit policy claimed there are two investors ready to develop container and reefer terminals in the area dedicated for the new sea port in Bronka-Lomonosov (south-east of St.Petersburg opposite Kronshtadt) The investors-to-be were not named yet. Also A.Karpov said the city is reserving territories for the development of the by-port logistics infrastructure in the area.

Metinvest Holding has announced completing the deal on the acquisition of Avlita Stevedoring Company, a grain and metals operator at Sevastopol port. In 2007 the new owner intends to realize a reconstruction program to update the port facilities and increase their capacity up to 6 mn tons per annum. It also plans to use the terminal to import coking coal from America and Australia.
