Russian Railways could take a share of the management company of the Murmansk transport center to be established in the next future, reports Vedomosti quoting Vladimir Yakunin, the president of Russian Railways.
According to V.Yakunin, such a proposal was made by Igor Levitin, the RF minister of transport.

Igor Rozhinov, the previous director of purchase and logistics of Kovdor Ore-Mining Plant appointed general director of EuroChem handling terminal, reports the press-service of the company.
It should be pointed out that on May 2 EuroChem announced the acquisition of 100% (7800 shares) of Murmansk Aluminous Terminal (MGT).
The terminal is located in the Murmansk Commercial Sea Port and is used for product reloading from rail cars to vessels.

By the first 4 months result compared to the last year same period the turnover of the Murmansk Commercial Sea Port decreased by 10.4% and totaled 4 295.6 thousand tons.
There was handled 3 362.9 thousand tons of coal (-12.3%), apatite - 593.4 thousand tons (-3%), nonferrous metal - 97.8 thousand tons (+56.7%).
In April of the current year the Murmansk Commercial Sea Port handled 1 230.6 thousand tons of cargo.

On March 2007 the research institute Lenmorniiproect completed the pre-project studies on the coal terminal setting-up for Murnansk Commercial Sea Port, JSC.
According to general director of Murmansk Commercial Sea Port Viktor Morozov, the capacity of the complex will total 6 mn tons annually.
At present Lenmorniiproect is making some additional calculations.
