Dubai Port World (United Arab Emirates) is going to invest $700 mn in the free economic zone establishing in Georgia, reports Kommerchiskaya nedvizhimost daily.
The delegation of Dubai Port World has visited the Port Poti where it is planned to build a container terminal.
By preliminary estimate, the Arabian investors will put up $300 bn in the first stage of the project.

Leading European shortsea operator Rhein Maas und See Schiffahrtskontor (RMS), which controls a fleet of around 75 vessels, has been acquired by Rhenus Group.
The deal, which took effect on 1 January 2007, has seen Rhenus, part of the Rethmann family organisation, and raise its stake in RMS from 25% to 100%.

Dubai Ports World, the third-largest container port operator, said on Saturday it will invest $2.87 billion developing a harbour complex in south-east Britain to plug a capacity shortfall.
DP World, which in February paid $6.8 billion for British ports operator P&O, will develop the port and a business park as part of the London Gateway Project at Thurrock, Essex, state-owned Dubai World, the owner of DP World, said in a statement.
"The UK is suffering from a capacity shortage," DP World Chairman Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem told Reuters.

As SeaNews was informed, the shareholders of National Container Company Ltd decided to share the company's assets.
According to the agreement, Severstaltrans will own shares in the Far Eastern container terminals - Vladivostok Container Terminal (jv with Vladivostok Commercial Seaport JSC) and Vostochny International Container Service / Vostochny Stevedoring Company (the second shareholder is Dubai Port World).
First Quantum owns NCC assets in the Russian North-West and South - First Container Terminal, Baltic Container Terminal (Ust-Luga), NUTEP (Novorossiysk) and Caspian Container Terminal (Olya).
The NCC brand will be owned by Severstaltrans.
