On August 1, 2007 EC decision canceling antidumping measures for Russian urea import to EU countries was published, reports the press-service of EuroChem Mineral and Chemical Company. It is said that 20 countries from 27 countries voted for the duty cancellation. It should be pointed out, that antidumping investigations started officially in May 2006.

13:10seaSeaNews Club materialEuroChem to Build Its Own Railcar Repair Facility
EuroChem (Mineral and Chemical Company) has started to create its own railcar repair facility - the Depot-EuroChem subsidiary - to be located at the mothballed site of Nevinnomyssky Azot house building factory, reports the press-service to the company. The building of the facility (for about 5,000 scheduled repairs per year) is planned to be completed in April 2009. It is expected to invest over 26 mn rubles in the project. According to the representatives of the company, the realization of the project will help to reduce EuroChem's controlled entities costs for scheduled maintenance of own cars and rolling stock lease, to make a profit from scheduled depot repairs and major overhaul services, obtain the transport independence from Russian Railways and increase company's capitalization. Currently the total amount of rolling stock units controlled by EuroChem is 6,000 (including mineral carriers, grain carriers, various tanks for different purposes, open-top wagons, covered wagons, and platforms).

An unnamed European owner is behind an order for a quintet of chemical tankers at Hyundai Mipo Dockyard, reports TradeWinds. The mystery owner is splashing out $222 mn on the ships which are slated for delivery before February 2011. According to the experts, the relatively late delivery date and the price tag of just under $45m a piece could mean the ships are well in excess of 47,000 dwt.

By the 5 months' result the turnover of the Ukraine port of Reni increased by 39.7% and totaled 1280 thousand tons. There was handled 1183.2 thousand tons of transit cargo (+58.5%), 95.9 thousand tons of export (-42.6%), 0.9 thousand tons of import (-50%). In January-May of the current year liquid bulk cargo turnover grew by 94.3% - up to 182.3 thousand tons.

During January-May of the current year the port of Vyborg handled 375.5 thousand tons of cargo, it is 6.7% more than in the last year same period. Liquid bulk cargo turnover increased by 34.7% (up to 38.8 thousand tons), coal and coke - by 28.4% (up to 24.9 thousand tons), chemical cargo - by 86.7% (up to 123.8 thousand tons).
